Frequently asked questions.

A safe, coaching-based alternative to traditional therapy, focused on nervous system regulation and embodied resilience.

  • Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) is a body-based approach to healing trauma, developed by Dr. Peter Levine. Unlike traditional talk therapy, SE™ works by helping your nervous system gradually release stuck survival energy—fight, flight, freeze—that can remain trapped in the body after overwhelming events.

We do this gently, without needing to retell or relive the trauma. Through present-moment awareness of physical sensations, breath, movement, and subtle shifts in energy, SE™ helps you complete stress responses that were interrupted. Over time, this allows your body to return to a natural state of balance, safety, and connection.

This approach is especially helpful for people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or dysregulated—physically or emotionally—even years after a difficult experience.

  • No, I am not a licensed therapist. I am a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), trauma-informed coach, and integration guide.

I work in a coaching-based, non-clinical model, which means I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Instead, I offer a body-centered, educational, and supportive approach that focuses on nervous system regulation, embodiment, and emotional resilience.

Many clients come to me after traditional therapy hasn't fully addressed the somatic or energetic impact of trauma, stress, or life transitions. My work complements mental health treatment.

  • I offer in-person somatic healing sessions in the heart of Palm Springs. These sessions take place in a warm, private space designed to help you feel safe and supported.

Although many people use the term "somatic therapy," what I offer is technically somatic coaching—not psychotherapy. My work is grounded in Somatic Experiencing®, polyvagal theory, and other nervous system-informed methods.

Sessions support you in shifting out of survival patterns and into more connection, ease, and choice. You might be navigating grief, burnout, or simply feeling stuck—this work meets you where you are.

  • Absolutely. Somatic work is one of the most powerful ways to address anxiety, chronic stress, and burnout. That’s because it works with the body’s stress response—not just your thoughts.

Anxiety is often a sign that your nervous system is stuck in a chronic fight-or-flight state. Burnout can signal that your system has moved into collapse or freeze. Through body-based practices, I help you build awareness of these states and guide you in gently returning to regulation.

Clients often report better sleep, calmer relationships, increased energy, and a clearer sense of what they need and want. This is nervous system repair at the root level.

  • Yes, I work with somatic coaching clients throughout the Coachella Valley—Palm Springs, Indio, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, and surrounding areas (including Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley in the high desert).

Whether you’re a long-time desert resident, a snowbird, or on vacation, you’re welcome here. Sessions can be held in-person or online depending on your preference.

This region is full of people going through transformation—relocation, career change, retirement, or healing. My practice is here to support that growth.

  • Yes! I work with clients all over the U.S. and internationally through secure Zoom video calls.

Online sessions are just as effective for most people. You’ll need a quiet, private space and a reliable internet connection. I’ll guide you in sensing your body, breath, and emotional state—just like I would in person.

Many clients love the convenience and find that online work allows them to relax even more fully in their home environment.

For folks visiting the Palm Springs area, somatic therapy work can be a great resource in person, followed up by online sessions when you are back home.

  • Yes. I specialize in trauma-informed, somatic integration coaching—especially for individuals working with ketamine, psilocybin, or MDMA in therapeutic or ceremonial settings.

Integration is the bridge between a powerful experience and lasting change. Without it, psychedelic journeys can fade—or feel overwhelming. With skilled support, they become transformative.

Together, we’ll explore what surfaced for you—emotionally, somatically, relationally—and help you embody the insight and wisdom gained. Integration can support clarity, healing, and greater alignment with your values.

  • Yes. I coach leaders, founders, and social impact professionals who want to lead with more clarity, integrity, and nervous system capacity.

Leadership can be activating. It touches deep patterns of responsibility, visibility, power, and vulnerability. Trauma-informed coaching helps you lead without losing yourself—preventing burnout and building sustainable impact.

I also design custom workshops and retreats for mission-driven organizations looking to create trauma-responsive cultures. These are ideal for nonprofits, educators, healthcare teams, and movement leaders.

  • Yes. My somatic coaching approach to money is designed to support a wide range of financial experiences—from those struggling with under-earning or scarcity patterns to those navigating retirement, wealth, inheritance, or high-stakes financial transitions like divorce settlements.

Money trauma doesn’t just affect people with limited resources. I work with clients who have inherited wealth but feel guilt or disconnection from it… entrepreneurs who are financially successful but chronically overwork or overspend… people going through complex divorces or settlements who feel frozen or disempowered around advocating for their worth.

In somatic coaching, we don’t focus only on budgeting or mindset. We look at how your nervous system has been shaped by early experiences, family legacies, systemic conditioning, and survival adaptations. You might notice freeze around asking for what you deserve, fawning when it’s time to negotiate, or collapse when facing financial planning.

This work helps you bring more presence, clarity, and agency to your financial life—regardless of your income level or background. Together, we’ll track what arises in your body and gently unwind the patterns that keep you stuck, so you can relate to money with more dignity, discernment, and freedom.
